Need a quick emissions question answered.

As some here know I'm looking at NSX's at the moment with hopes to soon own one. Theres a couple in Cali. that I'm very intrested in. Now this has been years ago but at one time California had their own emissions BS on Cali equipped cars only. Since I'm in TX. only certain parts here test {not mine yet}. Does this apply on 91/92 models or did those years emissions apply to all 50 states. I don't want to buy a car that can't be serviced here because it's "California emissions only". Thanks.

Hey David,

I purchased my car from Houston, and it is now happily passing the CA emissions tests. So no, there are no special emissions equipment or tuning for CA cars. The NSX is based on a federal standard, not an individual state standard.
