Ned help connecting TV to computer...

Okay, I've finally gotten a new place by myself and I'm wanting to connect my computer and tv/stereo together. I would like to hook the computer to the stereo to have sorround sound for music and stuff like that and I would like to hook the computer to the tv for videos. Okay so now the big question-how to do it! I'm guessing a new sound card and an S-video cable, anything else? I really want to get this set up so I can enjoy my new space. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, take care.

It's pretty straight forward, you just need a video card & sound card with the correct outputs (i.e., S-video/RCA/TOS/etc.) and the right drivers. Here are a couple of sites with more detailed info:

Connection PC to TV (procedure should be the same for S-video cable.
