NASA is going back to the moon in 2018 for "only" 100 billion dollars spread over 14 years. A huge amount of money but still half of what the Apollo program costs. NASA saves money by reusing Apollo and Space Shuttle techniques and experience. There will be two rockets, 1 for the to moon transport vehicle and 1 for the crew
