After some personal coaching by Mark Alger, 10+ time season winner in TTU, I still made some mistakes here and there but managed to run my best laps ever on Firebird West, 2 - 1.04's back to back which beats my past time by 1 second on a tight 1.1 mile track :-)

Thanks...
We'd love o have you out here with us sometime !
The only date we have left at West is June 1st, it's a one day early morning event because of the heat.

You never know though, since Firebird is not closing now, we may end up scheduling another date there before the end of the year when it cools off.

We will be at Chuckwalla in November for the last event of the year, maybe you can join us there !

Chuckwalla for SURE, i have a bunch of events coming up there soon so hopefully ill learn it well enough by then to keep up

It doesn't matter if your slower, keep up or faster.
There will always be people faster and slower than you are...as you know...
What does matter is you have a great time and you and the car go home safely and in one piece.
Look forward to having you out there with us !

Have you run with NASA before ?

I did go to a few NASA events about 10 years ago, I remember there was a lot of tech and class time to get to the driving. Im curious to see what they are all about now days.

Unless you drive TT or Race Group and get an annual Tech, all HPDE classes have to go through tech for each event. Painless process that takes 10 minutes.
All new drivers also have to go through the first day classroom/orientation portion. 3 sessions of classroom on Sat only that last about 45 minutes each.
You'll also get 4 20 minute track sessions each day.

Experienced drivers still go through the classroom/orientation on Sat but can get signed of by your instructor to move into more advanced DE groups like 3 and 4 after the first session on track with your instructor.

If you decide to do CW in November, let me know and I will be your instructor for your check ride and sign you off after I see how you drive in the appropriate DE group where you feel comfortable and very possibly TT on Sunday.

What is your experience ?
