This is what can happen to any of us.

Tage Evanson, our NASA-AZ Director had a mishap at our Modified Magazine Night Event.

Scared the s**t out of all of us know Tage, that were working the event and the incident itself.

Read post #46 for Tage's prospective and pictures.

Please wish him well, he's really a great guy !

Wow, what an intense moment. I think practicing escapes is neglected by a huge majority of people. This is a good eye opener for those that think it is not important. Glad to see he is in good spirits and has plenty of support.

Thanks for posting Coz. Also, do you think you could give us a heads up when/if the video is made available?

You bet I will.
Yea, we all kinda like Tage :-)

Tage is my inspiration for driving!

Im glad he's doing ok! Having to see him smoking in the ambulance was quite an eye opener!

Im glad everyone was able to step up at NASA AZ to keep everything running and that our trained staff was able to get to Tage quickly and safely!

That sounds like a really tough experience to go through, but happy to hear he is alive at least. Can anyone provide any details as to the equipment/circumstances surrounding the fire to help people who didn't know him assess our risk? Meaning, what type of car/modifications/fuel/etc was he running prior to the fire breaking out?

The video of Tage's fire has been released.

Here it is:

Being there and watching it all unfold ranks high in one of the scariest things I've ever seen, especially when it's happening to a dear friend.

Park in a completely dark garage and pull the fuse for the interior lights and then try to get out in the complete darkness.... not so easy to do. Go practice a few times - as you can see, it may save your life.

Great Advice and well worth practicing.
