I had 2 OEM shift boots that I took apart — a Type R carbon/mesh, and a NA2 6sp. Here is the carbon plate from the Type R and the boot from the NA2.
Excellent condition. Note that the staples don’t line up.. on the one I kept I used a small drill bit and the job went very quickly. The new owner will have to do something similar so the staples go through.
