Does anyone know why? I heard that HIDs are heavier than conventional lights, but is it that big of a difference?

It can't weigh much, but I'm sure it's slightly heavier than standard lights due to the ballast. When they say "uncompromised weight reduction down to the last gram," there were not kidding!
HIDs are available as an option, as part of the A/C + stereo package. But who's going to be caught with A/C and stereo in their NSX-R?

Saw some pics online and it looked like it didn't have HIDs, but I wasn't sure.
After seeing this on their official sight, I was convinced that it doens't come standard.
