Mynes Performance in Mesa, AZ

Hi guys,

For all you Phoenix folks, just got back from the dyno at Mynes Performance in Mesa. It's on Southern, east of Mesa. They have a nice shop and a nice dyno- Mustang. Maxx over there really hooked me up... He was able to draw 256 RWHP and 192 ft'lbs TQ out of my '96 with a unifilter and downforce scoop.

It's nice to see good shops popping up. Although they deal mostly with Evo's and Skylines, they had fun with the NSX and were pretty impressed with the numbers!!

Actually, most stock 3.0L's seem to dyno in the 230whp range +/- (also somewhat dependant upon dyno used), so Rob's numbers are pretty good for a basically stock setup.

Yes, it's stock except for a uni filter and downforce scoop. I believe a 3.0L NSX is advertised at 270 HP at the crank. For a 10 year old car with 66k miles to be pulling 256 at the wheels, I think it did pretty well. I was expecting the 240-245 range.

Mark Johsons (aka NSXGOD at Dali) 91 "test car" was dynoed at around 230 to the wheels bone stock. I've seen several older NSX's test around these numbers so I'm in good shape, and pleased with the results.

I know what I can do for the week numbers... "I need NOS"
