Spugen Exhaust is 32 lbs. ceramic coated with a Flowmaster muff.

Prototype stage right now. Sounds agressive.

More later....

Wilwood 13" Cross Drilled/Slotted 2 Piece Nickel Plated 4 Piston Monoblock Front Brake System. Rears to follow.

That exhaust is a few db louder than the OEM exhaust. Lotsa bass beyond 2000 RPM but not too loud to set off car alarms.
Also a lot lighter in the rear tail now.

Trying to arrange a rear vallence diffuser from a 2003 model. Anyone know of a local aftermarket where I can go purchase one. Dealers wanted $750.00 unpainted. Science of Speed was a more affordable $600.00 however, I like to see it before I purchase it.

Are you talking about the stock 02/03 rear valance (like in my avatar) Tan?
You can get that from Niello Acura in Sacramento for $520 or thereabouts with your NSXCA discount (-30%).

Nice job on the mods & pix. Did your shop have much difficulty color-matching Monaco Blue ??

- Manuel

Manuel,

I purchased it directly from Wings West here in Newport Beach and so they had that color on file. It came with a lifetime warranty. Total after tax and installation was $1,040.00. They said if I chip it I can come back for a repaint.

Tan Your car looks great, I can't wait to see it. Great Job

I WANT MORE!!! :D

That is a beautiful car... the more i see blue, the more i like it.
I better go buy a red NSX before you change my tastes completely. :)

btw, what's up with the orange cat in photo #1? ;)

Again, great job Tan! A few questions. Are the Volks all Face 1? What are the offsets you are running now? Do the wheels sit perfectly flush with the fender or is there more room for a lower offset and deeper dish? Keep it up man. Can't wait to see it all completed with the 03 rear valance.

Yes, they are all face 1 config for the Volk Racing GT-C. The wheels sit perfectly flushed with the body. You need to call Richard at www.wheelwarehouse.com to get offset and the other specs that you asked for. I can not wait for an 03 rear valance as well. Hard part is locating one locally to pick up. I am not a big fan of e-commerce. I rather touch and feel before I buy.

very nice. i'm also doing the same kit this summer. if i get the same rims and exhausts, we'll be identical except mine is a monte carlo blue/tan.:)

nice tan!!!
how about a closeup pic of the brakes???:)

Tan -

Car looks great! The Volks really fill in the wheel wells nicely. Is your car lowered?

Can you give me a little more detail about the exhaust sound? I'm looking to get a better sound out of my 03 but want to keep the stock look as much as possible. And I prefer a deeper exhaust note to a raspy one.

The exhaust sounds loudest/bassiest between 2000-3000 RPM Otherwise it is slightly louder than the stock exhaust. Remember I had a 2000 OEM 50+lbs exhaust not the new 2003 exhaust. I am not sure how that exhaust sounds.
I am taking it back because Team Spugen did not like the pics of the exhaust and would like for me to come back to adjust it a little. Otherwise, the exhaust is very bass extensive not a high pitch whine. Sound clips with video are on the www.teamspugen.com web site.
