My wacky alarm.....

Lately, when I've been unlocking the drivers side door w/ my key, the stock alarm on my 93' goes off. Sometimes if I make sure to turn the key left first, before I turn it right to actually unlock the door, the alarm won't go off, but I shouldn't have to do this drill should I ? I worry about having this problem examined by a tech because I believe it would entail taking the door panel off ( potentially screwing up tightness of the interior ). Help...................

It is very unlikely on a car that has a model run of 15 years old experience a problem for the first time.
