My Talon...

I've got a lot of e-mails and PMs from guys wanting to see this thing, so here goes...

1995 Eagle Talon TSi AWD.

I bought it in the spring of 2003, with 138,xxx KMs on the clock. I'm the third owner of the car.

Not much to say... it's been raced, driven all winter, jumped, powerslid, rallied... everything, really. The hard abuse comes on the racetrack, so it's all legal.

The interior. Pretty much stock except for the A-pillar gauges and the Palm. Pocketlogger is great!

My new turbo setup. It's a Mitsubishi EVO III 16G Turbo, Exhuast Manifold and o2 Housing. Much, much faster now, and capable of 400whp.

If I'm going to finish this project, I need a fuel computer and injectors and she's out the door. She should be capable of low 12s in the quarter.

But...

I'm probably gonna sell it for an NSX come spring, so this winter should be a blast. Chances are I'll buy another for the winter next year, probably a first gen, but this has been a hell of a first car. :biggrin:

Nice ride! I especially like the Eclipse front-end conversion (much better than the happy face) I used to have the exact same model and color (with the happy face :frown: ). Was a blast to drive, AWD rocks!! 1st and 2nd gear were awesome!! But after that the car kind of dogged. Bet that 16G helps with that problem :wink: Too bad a lady had to rear-end me at 45mph, thus totaling the car. I really miss it, and would love to get one as a DD someday. IMO DSMs have just gotten atrocious these past generations (speaking of the 3rd and 4th gen Eclipse).

I had a 1992 and 1993 Eagle Talon TSi AWD and loved them both. Except for that 'shooting the blues' that happens when they get old a smoke, the cars were great fun.

I saw a 1990 Eclipse GSX with 9k miles sell at the auction a while back for $9k grand. If it was a stick, it would be in my garage as we speak.:frown:

Been there done that...had a 1st gen Black 92 then went to this 2nd gen 95. I Had TAD from Lake Zurich tune it 16G,HKS cams, Headers,Super AFC etc the whole shpeel :biggrin: . I sold the car almost five years ago today for $16,500 to a kid who always wanted it and I was very happy to see it go. Every time I took it to the track something would go wrong... blown hoses,sensors,clutch,tranny you name it. My best 1/4 mile was 12.5@ 110mph. When I sold the car I searched for eight months and found my dream car my 91 Blk/Ivory NSX. :biggrin: Good luck selling your car...BTW is your crank walking yet? :biggrin:
