I just wanted to share a couple photos of my new car with you guys, I really think it's something special and it was tough to pass it up knowing there would never be the chance to own another like it. For starters, it's a 2007 and only has 15k miles on it. Well-executed tuner cars like this are becoming rarer and rarer since manufacturers starting offering their own performance variants, and it's hard to find customized cars that are similar to your taste in the first place. Though this car doesn't have the ultimate power of a CLK63 or even a regular AMG car with a supercharger, this car is all NA and it still has plenty of power since the starting point is the ~385hp 5.5L and not the 300hp 5.0L the of the 500's. The car now has approximately 425-450hp with the bolt-ons and ECU. This was a huge selling point to me because I've never been that impressed with superchargers even in NSXs, AMG cars, or any other cars. Many will disagree with me but I hate supercharger whine and don't like the way they make power either. I admit they get the job done, I just don't like how they do it. Anyways, it also has the 7 speed automatic with paddle shifters, which is another great upgrade over Mercedes' previous 5 speeds. Though I love manual transmissions for real sports cars, the paddle shifters are ok with this car's personality and are definitely more fun than a regular auto. It always seems to be in the right gear. So I was told the original owner had several exotics and bought this car specifically to build an alternative to a CLK63 Black Series, and he immediately dropped almost $50k on mods for it (no joke, I have the invoice and he did not cut corners). You could say it has a more "subtle" widebody and more tame personality I suppose.

Onto the shorthand mods list:
CLK63 Black Series Steering Wheel
Alcantara throughout the interior and headliner (looks much better in person)
Renntech custom widebody front and rear, CF Hood, etc.
Renntech ECU, headers, exhaust
Renntech BBK, Bilstein Coilovers, custom HRE P40 20" for this application

I may post some more pics once I get it cleaned up and tinted, plus it was raining when it was delivered. What do you think about the blacked out badging, leave it or go back to stock?

nice. i always had a soft spot for big power mercs. i like it for what it is, but it can't touch the clk black. (which is awesome) i don't like the black out on the emblems, but as long as the whole car isn't blacked out, its not too bad.

Wow that is nice looking.

nice

you mean new little sister.

I thought when a man owns a car its a she? and when a women owns a car its just a car?

I love the look of that model Mercedes for some reason, the interior looks like a freaking Jet aircraft.

drive the shit out of it and dont look back in fact take you rear view mirror out so you wount have the temptation to look back LOL

nice job and congrats on the arrive of you new baby.

You may be right, how bout I just say stablemate and keep it gender-neutral. I love the clk black series too but it is more expensive to buy, own, operate, insure, and maintain. In fact, v12 Mercedes are some of the most expensive cars to own right up there w Italian exotics, the engines are so big and such a tight fit you have to drop them to work on them. And also, they are not all motor :) I also think 400-500hp is the sweet spot for street use.

the clk black is a na 6.2L V8. i have driven one. its a fantastic car i would place up there with a Ferrari. the previous owner of many exotics should have just bought a clk black...

but what was bad for him is good for you. this is certainly more affordable than a clk black.

Sweet second car. I just picked up a second car myself. Its not as nice as your car thats for sure lol. Im not really into the blacked out emblems.

You know, since Mercedes started going off their nomenclature system in recent years I just can't keep up with all the exceptions. I do love the black series too it's just out of reach :)

Great buy! Congrat!
I think is car was on ebay for a while, I've seriously considered it

That is sweet! I can't wait to drive it...I mean see it.

Thanks for the comments guys, I am glad no one pulled the trigger on the car before I saw it! Anyways, I washed it for the first time and snapped some pics w/ my phone afterwards. I noticed the car has some light swirl marks visible in direct sunlight, as I feared/expected a black colored used car would... but I'll get to that when I have the time. I decided I like the black emblems for now and will definitely do tint soon... Other than that I am debating on if I should paint the BBK.

Now if you were only a top level bouncer(cooler) you could be the star for the updated version of roadhouse:wink:

I wouldn't change a thing, not even tint. However, I've never been a fan of tint. The only thing....I would chrome those exhaust tips. I love the quad tips on those AMG's.

With the TX climate the tint really helps out A LOT, and offers some privacy as well. The car gets a lot more attention than I thought it would, even more than the NSX it seems... :/

dammmmmmmmmmmmmmm doooooooooood

that is hott

drive fast - take chances - dont use your turn signals - and keep your brights on = black series

also know as .... talks softly but carry's a big stick

nice buy nero
