After selling my R1 I was beginning to have serious withdraw and so with summer gas prices soaring, I decided it was time to get back into the saddle and get my dream bike. Always wanted a GSXR-1300 but never had a chance as most of my bikes have been with Yamaha and Honda...

Wanted a BMW k1200s but just couldn't justify spending $20k on a bike. The only requirement was that the rear seat had to be comfortable so my girl can ride with me as she hated my previous R1.

Anyways rode her 2 hours back home and just finished detailing it. The LE Hayabusa for those who don't know was only made in 2006 for the white color. The entire undercarriage of the bike was polished up so it looks simply stunning.

Plans to install some custom LED's throughout the bike along with a nice HID upgrade are in the works :)

enjoy

Sweet! All nice bikes! That busa is the caddy of bikes!! Just rode my buddy's the other night, that thing is a beast!

My CBR1000RR Repsol - Nicky Hayden tribute mainly used for stomping round the track. Cant go wrong with a Honda.

Ride safe out there..

That M-car is sick. I would love to see more.

David, go see this thread:

Ko-NSX: I like your toys and your friend's too - btw nice SN :)

Thanks for the kind words - I've had over 10 crotch rockets over the years and this has gotta be the most comfortable and solid ride. Rode 2 hours from Sac and never broke into a sweat.

On the highway this thing has GOBS of power and never needs a downshift from 6th - just a flick of the wrist will put his bike in triple digit speeds! Plus the on board computer said I averaged 40 mpg+ on the way home

Im on bike number 5. mostly all honda cbr's. Those hard seats are getting to me. I rode that zx-14 and immediately started lusting over it! The 'Busa and zx-14 are kinda the same bikes. They are very comfortable for sport tourers. I just wanted something everybody didn't have. I envy the fact that you can mod the hell out it though!!!! Can't find as much stuff for my Repsol. I pegged my repsol at 180 out here on thses country roads, and the zx-14 blew by me!

Supra2NV - get something like a KTM SuperDuke 6 or 9 to start with that has a nice upright yet sporty sitting position as your first bike. Don't worry about power as you control your wrist action not the bike! Definately sign up for some driving lessons with an instructor to teach you control under braking, cornering, etc.

I rode MX for a long time and now stepped onto the ZX6R as my first bike. Love bikes now!

I see you guys have all had bikes for a while...I feel like a newbie! Sorry to somewhat thread jack and the Hiyabusa is nice though...maybe next one?

Ko-nsx: I agree the ZX14 is a direct competitor to the Hayabusa but frankly the looks just don't do it for me. I'm sure it has gobs of power but I love the low slung look of the Busa' :)

If you want something comfy but still sport, go look at the BMW k1200s. That is the ultimate sport touring bike but it's too expensive at $20k for a motorcycle. It's even got heated grips and traction control!

SupraNV, I would definitely look at a 600 or 750 bike. To be honest you will outgrow the 600cc bikes pretty fast. My buddy bought a CBR-600RR as his first bike and 2 months of riding with us and he wants to upgrade to a 1000cc bike. The 600's just don't have the power if you like to carry a passenger and up hills, etc really bog it down. I always tells people do you not buy a Ferrari cuz it's too fast? You will get used to the extra power, just ride safe as you would a fast exotic sports car.

Hey Rick- you need a bigger garage for all your toys. Bet the M3 has Busa envy! Anyways, ride safe before a wife & kid(s) enters your life.

S4PLAY, can I see pics of your m3?

Here are a couple of mine from last year. I painted the Gixxer to match the NSX but after a year it got boring so now its done over using the same base color.

BTW the NSX now looks different too

dang, i love bike threads. That GSX-1300 looks stunning next to your white NSX. I once pulled up next to a GSX-1300 at traffic lights, and it made me feel inferior on my little CBR-250. Very menacing.

ARFNSXTC: I like that 2nd shot, who's riding the bike and driving the car? :)

Takes a lot of commitment to have car/bike painted the same scheme! Both are very clean rides, great pics!

thanks s4play:

I am the one on the bike and my friend mike who is also the painter is driving my NSX. The NSX is a stock color so it was easy to have the bike color that scheme.

My painter loved the color so much, he painted his EF Civic the same color (of course with tons of carbon fiber)

I love you Busa though. I had been looking for a used one for a while but most of them had a long history or unknown history. Some I suspect were even stolen!

ARFNSXTC car looks sweet. Can we see more pictures. I would like to do some of the mods you have done but I would like to see pictures first just to get an idea.

Much appreciated!

hmmm seems like a lot of Bike + NSX owners on here! Moreso than I thought!

The one thing I wished my NSX could do is average 41mpg! hahaha Was filling up today the bike and that's what the OBC said on my bike! woohoo

CA gas prices will be $5.00 gallon pretty soon and what used to be $7-8 dollars to fill my bike will now cost about $18.00

thank goodness I only drive the NSX on weekends....whew!
