lol ya it is pretty huge compared to the nsx. its actually a pretty fast car, its faster in the straights than my nsx.

Your NSX must be running on 3 cyl, or you can't shift, cause a SRT-4 isn't even faster than a S2k. NSX's run mid 13's, and that is their weakest link. They are much faster once rolling. A SRT-4 runs 14's.

i meant once rolling, since obviously fwd is at a disadvantage from a stop, also once it gets to higher speeds my car is faster. but it is really fast, apparently some have gotten the srt-4 to high 13's stock. i didnt think it would be that fast either but i drove it and its pretty quick. obviously in turns there is no comparison but for a car that is $22k new thats pretty damn good. What year nsx can run mid 13's stock? mines a 91 and i havent read any statistics that say its faster than 14.

actually, the srt-4 is pretty damn quick. My understanding is that unless the srt-4 driver can't drive, it should barely edge out an s2k. (stock for stock)

so...i wouldn't say it should beat an NSX, but it won't exactly get walked by a pre-97 one too hard. this is speaking strictly off estimated numbers and performance of course.

S2K ~14 flat
SRT-4 slightly below 14 if I'm guessin right.
NSX 13's?

The SRT-4 is surprisingly quick and feels pretty torquey, it is not faster than an early 3.0 NSX to 60mph or 1320 ft. however.
It will run pretty even with an S2000 though, probably would even beat an S2000 if the S2k pilot short shifts.

Also remember the SRT-4 are WAY underratted in the HP. They Dyno around 225 HP to the wheels. Not too far off what a 91 NSX will put down on the dyno.

I agree SRT-4 is highly underrated for power it pretty much dynos at the wheels what the manufacturer rates at the flywheel. And it's really easy to pull more power out.

They are already hitting over 500whp on the stock block!

ya they have amazing potential, and the horsepower is definitely underrated. if you havent driven one you should try it i was very surprised. i havent actually tracked my car so i dont know how fast it is but i didnt realize that the 91's were that fast. if i remember correctly didnt road and track only get a mid 14 or something?

Even from a dead stop, that thing can't take a 91. It does zero to sixty in just under 6 seconds whereas a 91 does it in 5.2. Quarter mile times don't match it as well and I can't imagine what the difference would be on the track. Great value for the money though.

What wheels and tyres exactly are you running?

Can you tell me exactly the type, size of wheel and tyres you are running. Are the wheels nsx specific? offset and what not.
Any spacers? Are you planning to drop your car to fill in the wheel wells? I love the white seats.
Looks good dude! Enjoy!

they are racing hart m5's i dont think theyre nsx specific but i believe that they are discontinued. i dont know the offset because they came with the car. ya i am going to drop the car once i can afford a set of teins. i dont love the white seats im saving for some racing seats hehe. 03 srt-4 does it in 5.9 but that one is an 04 it has 15 more horsepower as well as a lsd so its rated at 5.4 0-60. i remember that road and track only got the 91 nsx to 5.9 0-60 but it seems like it seems like every place has a different time. is there a website that lists a bunch of performance stats or something?

I have not seen the dyno of the 04 SRT, but i doubt it has any more power, they are just probably giving it a HP rating close to what it actually has... but they are still underratted.

Motor Trend ran a 94 NSX 0-60 5.3 13.6 1/4 @ 106.

A stock SRT4 will not keep up. A lightly modded one though will probably be faster in straight line..

thats cool. i really didnt intend to start an argument here just wanted to show off some pics of our cars, and ill be honest i havent actually raced him but if we did i would win just because he cant drive very well yet ( i taught him to drive stick when he got the car). I was only going by what i thought was the performance of the nsx given by road and track because if you go by those numbers then the srt-4 is faster. nobody yell at me please :) .

Road and Track has the slowest numbers for the NSX I have ever seen. They are consistently slower than EVERY other car magazine.

But, only one way to find out... race him! :)

sounds like a plan hehe. will let you guys know how it turns out.
