Finally after waiting 6 weeks, my steering wheels came in. These are a custom wheel and I KNOW this isn't for everyone here, especially with the real carbon fiber on them, but it matches my now converted to suede interior perfectly so I'm real pleased. These wheels are 320mm instead of stock 350mm which does give it a nicer feel to me. Also, the ergonomics on this wheel are simply amazing and it's really comfortable to drive with (Drove in someone elses car before having these made). One really nice thing about getting the top part of a steering wheel made out of something hard as opposed to leather or suede is that your steering wheel never shows any wear cause if you drive like I do, then your hand is on the top part of the wheel 95% of the time even while turning.
Anyways, tonight I'm gonna paint the resessed, currently yellow painted "OMP" writing with black paint, then bolt it up to my works bell quick releases and get them in the cars.
The one going in my NSX will use the regular NSX-R red "H" horn emblem in place of the OMP horn.
Still waiting on the stock 90s Z horn emblem for my Z's one though, but that should be here in a few days from Coz, and after measuring, it will fit perfectly in the place of where the original lame "OMP" horn was. No need in displaying "OMP" on the horn in either cars.
Anyways, thanks for looking you all. Many MANY nice more parts to come.
Thanks for looking again guys and gals.
Those aren't scratches on the spokes either, just dust and glue that I'm now rubbing off.
For those that are curious, these were custom made for me by a local shop.
