awesome nsx-r

Dan, in 1996, I was hanging out at the U district at my friend's frat house, a Korean guy delievered us Hawaiian BBQ in a midnight peal NSX. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that.

My next door business neighbor is PapaJohns so I thought I would take a picture of the delivery sign on my car. NO, the sign didn't stick to my roof, I just placed it on there for the photo... You know, the NSX weren't meant for pizza delivery at any rate. No magnetic signs can be attached...

Looks like your steering wheel fell off and is laying on your dash. You won't get too far without that part!

LOL.... that is hilarious...

My father is in the restaurant business and one night to help him out I delivered food in my CL600. I was about to go out that night and had an expensive suit on. I made my food delivery anyway. The stunned guy at the door who could clearly see me in the Armani suit and the V12 Mercedes outside with my girlfriend in the passenger seat said "damn.... ummm.... OK.... I'd give you a tip but.... ummmm.... do you want it?!! ". I took the tip anyway. haha I wonder if he thought it was a big practical joke. I'd love to see you make an actual pizza delivery in an NSX-R. Make sure you have a sparco flame retardant suit and a Shoei helmet on. And please videotape the guy.

Racing gloves on, Piloti shoes, exhaust crackling.... Papa John's sign sitting atop the NSX-R. hahaha I really want to see this. At least a picture of a guy with all this on holding a pizza. NA1/2-R, do you have a race suit and helmet? take a picture next to the NSX-R holding a pizza with the papa john's sign on top of the car. It should be the next "picture of the month".

You should wear a helmet, tell him you're the stig and that you've gotten fired from TG and have entered the delivery business:D

I'll place an order for the car to be delivered to my house....you can keep the pizza!

I was going to say 'he was probably asian' but I reread what you wrote and you alreayd said that, damn asians!

I wouldn't know what to make of my local delivery guy driving an 02' NSX Type R (instead of the usual CRX with clear tail lights) - but I'd say it is a pretty sure bet whatever is being delivered isn't Pizza.

Related pizza shop car story

There I am at the local pizza shop waiting for my order and my phone rings. It’s my friend Charlie who has called to report on the NSX he just looked at for me because it was less than 100 miles from his house as opposed to the 500 plus miles from me.

After I hang up pizza-boy, from behind the counter, inquires about my NSX related call. I explain that I’ve been in the market for an NSX and how my friend just looked at a low mileage example of exactly what I wanted, color, transmission, coupe etc. To which he responds to by telling me about his turbo charged S2000. WTF, if the local high school pizza-boy has a turbo S2000 there is no reason I shouldn’t have an NSX. He also wanted me to stop by with the NSX if I did buy it.

I did end up buying the NSX and am very happy with it. I haven’t been back to the pizza shop with the car though. You never know pizza-boy might have a twin turbo type-R NSX by now or something else to make me feel foolish about going to college for four years and working a desk job.

Disclaimer:
No offense to pizza distribution engineers. I just thought this was a funny story and I should share it. I think it’s great that this kid has a nice car and he takes pride in it. I too worked while in high school and I drove my first car of the dealers lot at 16.

Buy the way the NSX trunk is ideal for pizza delivery. If the large is big enough it fits in the tire area on the left without sliding around.

Hi

When you call and the pizzadude says "that's 30 minutes away It will be there in 10". You know that the pizzadeliveryboy is driving a NSX..

Great pictures.
