Beautiful, amazing condition, don't change a thing on it, love the classic looks of the fat five.. Congrats!!!

Make sure you get the maintenance done. I have a 1991 with 31,000.

Do you have any lights on? ABS, SRS, etc. You should reach out to Larry B or a local NSX specialist to get the timing belt, hoses and other maintenance. When I got mine Larry B did the following:

Timing Belt
Hoses
Valve Adjustment
Plugs
Wires
And much more

These are 25 year old cars and all of the rubber gets brittle. I also had a bad Climate Control Unit that I sent in to Science of Speed because the circuit board was bad. I had the AC system converted from r12 to 134. I also sent Brian K my SRS control unit to be repaired. I had a bad ABS pump and a number of other little things on the way. It is key with these cars to be proactive. A coolant hose burst could be quite costly.

Looks like you got a great one!

Yes, I'm well aware of the NSX maintenance, I had a 2002 recently as well. Most of your list is already done on this car.

thats like polishing a gold bar:wink:

That's great!
It looks like a really great car!

My car had sat for a long time so I did a lot. Now it is a joy!

That's true for the average car out there but not for the NSX. :) The quality of rubber used in this car is excellent. The rubber seals get weak, that's more precise. But the suspension rubber and windshield rubber still holds up excellent. Coolant hoses are prone to burst after a lot of heat cycles. A garage queen with low miles which has been cruised only still has good hoses.

Amazing young car! But I would find it hard to justify it to drive it on the road. :)

Great info. The rubber on this car does look fantastic, although I think it also has a lot to do with how the car has been stored and if it has been semi-regularly exercised.

What a beauty. I wouldn't change a thing.

Me neither! I'll post up all the interesting books, records, magazines, etc. that came with the car at some point soon.

It really depends on storing and driving. The sun (UV-light) is very bad for rubber. The seals that brake even on a garage queen like yours are the ones of the clutch hydraulics.

One word of caution to the coolant hoses: there are some hoses around the oil cooler which get hot every time you drive it and they are located in a place that is not vented very good. If you want a safe bet you might think about changing the six big hoses and the smaller hoses of the oil cooler. But maybe you can wait until the next TB interval. An a last word of precaution: if you ever take your engine out or disconnect any of the coolant hoses replace it with new ones. You have to pull so hard on any hose while removing it you'll probably hear it inner structure of the hose breaking. The outside might still look perfect but the inner structure is damaged and will lead to a future failure.

Yes, I changed the "problem" oil cooler coolant hoses on my previous 2002 NSX-T as a preventative measure. It's definitely a no-brainer if you're doing the TB, although this car had TB/WP done in 2012 so I'm fine there. I'll double-check the hoses were done too at that time.

Didn't see this before, yes, I have a dealer license so I buy/sell somewhat quickly. The car is already sold now, to a collector in TN (will be his 2nd NSX among 10+ other cars). I have an S2000 personally and my goal is to have a Brooklands Green coupe for myself at some point soon, once I can afford to keep one! Honda's cars are something of a passion for me, but I'd prefer my personal NSX to be more of a "driver" example that I can enjoy fully.

For those interested, here's the full new photoset of the red car & included documentation: http://sw2heritagecars.com/portfolio/1991-acura-nsx/

All the stuff that came with this car is pretty cool... I calculated that the original owner paid a $3,400 markup in 1991 on the car, for a total price of over $71k!
