Going on 11 years of owning my NSX and the one thing that bugged me since day one was the wear on the drivers side bolster. I have searched high and low for a drivers side cover to no end and trying to find a perfect match to patch was hard. I FINALLY found a Ivory passenger seat a NSX owner parted with since he upgraded to racing seats. The one problem was he tossed a bunch of parts on it and never covered it so there was a stain on the left side that did not come out. I decided to strip that one and mine down and use the good side and sew it to my bad side. All I did was pick out the top stitch and under on both re sew the piece I wanted and top stitched that one back to mine. I also used the good foam top and bottom since mine was a little torn along with the new seat and back cushions. I can now say my Ivory interior looks like new again since my passenger side was perfect as is my drivers now. Side note I have used EVERY leather conditioner cleaner etc and the best stuff out there is Zaino leather in a bottle treatment and conditioner great stuff.

that wear in the bolster seat bothered you? wow try having a black interior that bolster spot turns grey/then yellow.

ivory interiors I think are the best I wanted one so bad was even gonna do a complete swap with another member but then I decided to try and order a couple new pieces and I changed my mind real quick. no longer made. the only spare parts your gonna find are used.

I still think it makes the car look more highend. if I ever come across a mint interior in Ivory I may still do the swap.

good for you DIY kinda guy. why take it to a shop for them to charge you an arm and a leg to do something you could do on a weekend.

great job did you take pics during the process we would like to see the step 1, step 2, step 3 kinda thing

Here is a better pic Shawn of the worn bolster and side foam piece. The foam started to poke a hole in it and was pretty worn. To get the seat cushion off you need to remove the 4 plastic tabs under your knee then the two tabs under your seat as seen in the pic.

Awesome job, Steven. I could never get my ivory seats in that condition. Props to another ivory owner.

There's a ivory interiored NSX on Copart that I and another member thought about bidding on. All I really wanted was the interior. ;)

You did a great job. What a nightmare a black car with a white interior. The interior will show every little dirty spot. Also, the black exterior will show every little imperfection. A car like this would slowly kill me. I would love to have a NSX with that color combo but its a lot of work and stress. Im learning about this black exterior thing recently and it sucks(not the NSX). My dad told me about black cars and how its rough to keep them looking great. I didnt listen because the price for this car was pretty damn good.

Everytime I see a clean one like this, I miss my old car. Ivory may turn a few noses skyward, but I still think it's the best

Those with ivory interiors that are looking dingy, and those who have them in good shape but don't really know what to do to keep them that way should check out leatherique.com. I don't have anything to do with the company, just a very satisfied company. Really good stuff. It won't cure the worn driver's bolster but it will greatly improve the look of any worn leather interior. I recommend the standard course of treatment: conditioner + heat followed by the cleaner.
