Guys,

I changed the oil today. I did a really noob move and checked the oil level while the car was jacked up. So it appeared low... figure I'd put in the full 5.28 Qt of oil...

Well after the car was down... it's now 1/8 inch above the high level. Do I need to worry? Extract some out with an extractor?

Thanks in advance.

jack up the car put on some gloves and oil drain pan at the bottom of the car and open up the drain plug count 2 second and put the drain plug back on you should be fine. but i have no issue running little above the full mark on the dip stick.

Looks like I was 0.5Qt over full...

Removed almost 1Qt... Now I'm somewhere in the middle. Only reason I did it was to be safe... Google told me that 1Q over should be the point where the crank hits the oil. Apparently there's some law out there stating that a car must operate properly 1Qt under and 1Qt over the High Low lines.

I hope you filled the filter with oil prior to install. It has nothing to do with overfull, it's just good practice.
