It all started a couple weeks ago when I installed an HID kit, from DDM....

Looked great, but soon realized I needed some led bulbs to replace the yellow 194 running light bulb..

Much better, but still pretty plain...so I thought I'd installed some led strips that I original bought for my is250 about a year ago but never got around to installing them...they looked cool, but we're a bit too blue and could barely notice them as DRL's(daytime running lights) like the newer cars have these days...

So I went back to DDM Tunning and got the newer brite white strips..they were great and you could see them in the daylight...but I soon realized they were too bright at night...

So today I messed around with them and figured out a way to dull them a bit and shape them...I finally found what I like..here are some shots from today after customizing them.

Before..BRIGHT

Side by side after dimming them and shaping the driver side first.

Finished...liking them a lot.

Like how the wedge shape accentuates the awesome lines of the hood, fender and nose...

Big thanks to my friend Nick(applied motorsports) for taking a break from building race cars and helping me with the install...

Hope you like...

I'll post some night shots soon....

looks good. care to share how you got it to look like that?

Good old American ingenuity .... Scotch tape, couple layers to dull them and electrical tape and an exacto knife to shape them..

It's just a rough draft so far...thinking of using a fogging type paint to replace the scotch tape...

Thanks...here is a close up with the lights off...it helps that it's a black car to make it less noticeable ...
