good luck, that really sucks, but i wouldnt count on the landlords insurance covering it. i had a similar thing happen many years ago... my landlord lived downstairs, i was parked in the driveway, slow slid off the roof of the house and buried my car and the ice dented it in some spots. landlord filed a claim and was told her insurance doesn't cover "acts of god". i had to file a claim with my own insurance company, eat the deductible and deal with the higher rates .keep us posted!
