Here are a few pictures of my '91 with the HRE's and new big brake kit (Movit)installed. The wheels are the 546's 18x8, 19x10 with 225/35, 285/30 SO3's. Other mods include BEGI twin-turbo, Mechtech AIC, Mechtech ECU, RC injectors, Comptech stainless valves, RM clutch, Eibach springs, Dali race bars, WW front lip, stainless lines, Beckert's custom exhaust ;-) etc, etc.

I've switched to another site, as it kept saying that I had exceeded my data transfer. See if this one works better. Thanks for your patience.

4g62bt2c30a,

Geocities's not good at linked graphics, just right click the "x squares", select properties, then cut and paste the URL to the address bar and go...

Love your wheels. Looking to upgrade mine.
Where did you get them? Will they fit with the stock brakes? Did you need to make any mods to get them to fit or did they bolt on?
Did your speedometer get messed up or are the wheels the same diameter as stock?

Thanks

Thanks for the complements. I have been through three sets of aftermarket wheels now. (My garage is looking like a used tire/wheel shop) I just haven't been satisfied with keeping the car the same. I had 16/17, then 17/18, now the 18/19's. They are HRE 546's 18x8, 19x10 with high polished center and etched aluminum center caps. I believe the front offset is 37, rear offset 38. They were purchased through HRE. They have a website that's quite good and has pricing information. You can even see an interactive picture with the wheels on an NSX. The website is: http://www.hrewheels.com. If you want to call them, talk to John--he can give you all the information you want.
They were designed specifically to fit over the big-red caliper. With the stock brakes, you could have a party behind the wheel with the clearance. The wheels bolt right on.....I do have just the slightest rub at full lock, but not NEARLY as bad as when I tried to run 235/45/17's up front previously. My car isn't lowered much--just with Eibachs. The lower you go, the less clearance you would have. The speedometer would be slightly off, as the overall diameter of the tires is slightly taller, but less than 5%. When travelling at an indicated 70mph, my GPS shows 71. I, personally, wouldn't let that deter you. No problems with TCS. The only reason I went to this tire/wheel combo is I was having problems overheating my stock brakes (cracking rotors) and had to upgrade as my other wheels wouldn't clear without large spacers. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Happy motoring

Ben

I believe you recall correctly. Several individuals commented on the aggressive note of the exhaust, or lack thereof, on the car at NSXPO. I like it, but clearly it is not for everyone. Also, it does make it challenging to sneak up on people.

FWIW, I don't think it was the noise that bothered #42....I think it was just getting passed in the kink by a guy without slicks.(HA HA HA!)

It is the actuator and wastegate for the right rear turbo. It looks terrible, but there isn't any way to reposition it. It can't be seen on the left side, because the turbo it turned the other way. Maybe I should install the rear spat kit to cover it up....then some side skirts.....then some...
