Mountain Drive

I am trying to plan a mountain drive!!

I am looking for anyone that's interested in driving up with us or meeting us alone the way.

Ill be driving from Augusta, GA and taking highway 28 to Route 129.

I would like to plan it for early August.

Anyone that's interested, please PM me or respond under this thread.

Dates look to be weekend of Aug 18th.

I'm planning a trip to Western North Carolina in August, but I'm not driving my car. Instead, I'm towing it behind my truck. If you are definitely going, I will try to make the weekend of the 18th. Can't think of a better place to be in mid-August!

It would be good to see you again old-friend. It's been a long time since we had bug splatter on the bumpers! Spent damn near two days getting the lovebugs off my car after our last cruise to the middle of nowhere.

so far I have 5 cars committed!

We will be heading up Saturday Aug 18th!! drive all day, grab lunch and dinner along the way, hang out and grab hotel for the evening and do it all over again coming home on Sunday ; )

I'm up in Greenville, SC as I type, logged on from an iPad at a hotel bar. Great downtown! Just finished a three day tour de force of Asheville, Hendersonville, Brevard and Waynesville. MUST find a way to live here a few months a year! I've got a trailer being built to tote my car up here. Supposed to be delivered to South Florida next week, therefore I should be good to go!

Ok here is the updated plan:
Sat aug 18th 9am: meet at shell station right off riverwatch parkway exit/furys ferry.
11am pass near or through Anderson and pick up scot and his group...scot meeting spot? Your back lot might work if it's along the way...we are coming along 28
2pm arrive in deals gap, or maybe stop along the way for lunch

Anderson is in SC.

We live in augusta, GA tho and we're 120 miles from the mountains.
