So I'll be the first to agree that GM's design and build quality will not meet that of an Acura, and I don't care for the styling, and the cheap off-the-shelf looking parts (have you seen the cheap tiny rotors on the base car?), but if this review is correct, the base model C8's acceleration and brake testing matches the NSX almost exactly:
0-60 2.8 sec, 11.1 quarter mile, 95 foot 60-0. And with less slightly less weight, I imagine handling won't be all that bad either.
I gotta say, for basically 1/2 the price, this has to put a damper on NSX's already slow sales, or make Acura finally produce an R model. Sad, because there is so much that is good with our cars, I don't want to be stuck saying "yeah, but my car is more exclusive to justify its comparatively lofty price.
