Ok, I feel a little bit strange to ask this question but I've heared on TV that some people give their car a name. Me not. You? I've seen 'Charlotte', some more?

I just call it the race car.
That's what my mom calls my car!

As said in previous posts, i refer to it as 'The moneypit', or in dutch 'Scheurijzer' which means something completely different.

Notice i call it a 'it', not 'she'. I treath women with respect, not my NSX, i beat the crap out of it.

absolutely.

My '94 Miata is 'nelli' and my '91 NSX is 'Nat'.

I don't know if the NSX is the male version of 'Nat' or short for 'Natalie'. But my wife seems to have assigned it the male gender.

I ordered a vanity plate for it. In order of preference:

"LAP DOG" since it does hot-lapping in HPDE's.
" GONAT ", but I don't think this one will pass the screeners at the DMV
"TRAK DOG" (see LAP DOG)

I'll find out shortly if I'll be awarded one or none of them.

nelli has as her vanity plate "LATERL-G"

More than you asked, but linked loosely enough to the orignal question, I hope.

Japanese name to japan made car "Sakura". Inspiration from StreetFighter. My name Jin from Tekken. Btw Sakura rhyme with Acura.

I"m not very original. I call it "The Acura" or "the nsx"

maybe i should call it Hal

I don't think the question is ridiculous at all.

I never gave my NSX a name, but I'm not sure why. At the time I bought it, my daily driver was a CRX dubbed "Christine" (like the Stephen King book), license place CRXTINE.

After my recent experience, maybe I should call mine Lazarus. ;)

Money pit, or wallet drainer, and sometimes...my baby:biggrin:

Ha!

Not a silly question at all! She's "Kate" after Kate Beckinsale.

I followed my five year old daughter calling it "race car". She enjoy it to sit in front and to play with the electric-seat and each button in her coverage.
She protests against driving in the CLK with her she is calling "Zedes"

My son calls it "The Red Rocket" so it stuck...
