Hi y'all. 'K, firstly I'd like to thank Garrick and Stuart for generously offering to assist me when I was in T.O. Unfortunately it didn't come together, but with such a small window of opportunity, wasn't unexpected. I'm sorry I didn't contact you, Stuart, hope it didn't hang you up. If it did, I owe you a bootle-o-wine. Anyway, I'm sitting in the Delta in Fredricton with my brother. He started surfing so I did too. So: I arrived in Toronto Wednesday and picked up the car immediatly. I can't recommend TFXTranspot highly enough. Their care and concern for the car's welfare and the client's piece of mind is top-notch. I'll continue this in a couple of hours...Dave need drink BAD!!!!!!!! so gotta go.

Hey,

No worries. Sorry we couldn't get it together, it's been one of those summers' where schedules are just all over the place, esp. for me. Don't hesitate to give me a shout if you need help or advice with the DRLs.

PS. I've disconnected mine already and I'm going to rewire it to my cruise button (since I don't have cruise anymore...) Wonder if I can relabel from "Cruise" to "Foglight" or "Fog"... hmmm...

The eagle has landed!!

Finally, after a jouney that should have been measured in nautical miles rather than kilometres, the car and I have made it safely back to placid, grey Bedford. During the trip, 3 things occured to me:
1) Of all the cars I driven over a long time/distance, and including my wife's A4, various BMW's, mini-vans, SUV's etc...the NSX is by far the most comfortable to be in longer than 8 hours at a stretch. The seat's firm, but big enough to mould into it. The Boxster's seat, by comparison, feels nicer in terms of material, and fits very well in a track environment, but feels like it's always trying to push you out of it.
2) Two days of rain driving through roads in various states of decay is annoying. Quebec especially seems intent on providing challenging pot-hole laden obstacle courses to catch out the un-wary. What fun.
3) Don't bother getting cerebral with people whose eyes are very close together. They won't grasp what you're saying. Ever. It took this gendarme almost 28 minutes to write a ticket. He kept looking at one thing, then at another....then he'd call HQ, or his mommy, or someone, anyway...then back to looking at his hands...finally I got out to see what'up, and *POOF*, my ticket's all ready....what a shlameal, what a ta-ra-ra-goondeeay! Ahhhh....I love leaving Quebec.
Anyway, all in all, it was a good time, Quebec City was, as usual, very nice, and the car is very well sorted. Once I've cleaned 'er up, I'll post some images.

Glad to hear you made it through your journey Tim! I hope you and the car had a good time to bond with one another.

Glad everything worked out - no worries on the NOT meeting - I just sat at home pining for NSXs for those three days...but the drugs are helping me get over it and the therapy sessions are kinda fun!

Enjoy the car!
