I would bet that the weather has a lot to do with how many cars are for sale. Typically sports cars will sell for a lot less in the winter months, so only the owners that "Have to Sell" their cars will advertise them through the winter months.
The owners that have "Decided to Sell", will wait for the best time of the year that they will get the most out of their car.
This is the best time for traveling to look at cars especially if the distance is large. It is also a good time to be bringing a new, pre-owned NSX, home without having to pay for it to be shipped, and waiting and waiting and waiting for it to show up. Some of these guys have waited longer, for a car to be shipped, than it would have taken to drive it home. Some didn't have an option. Besides driving an NSX back home is just a HOOT!
