I'm looking at buying a 91 to 93 NSX within the next 9 months.
One of the biggest things I'm looking at is the cost of owernship. I would like to see more costs of repairs, maintance, etc. For example how much does a new engine cost, or a new transmision.

Thanks,
Jon

Couldn't find this post in the general discussion, so I'll respond here. An engine replacement is not a valid "cost of ownership" issue, unless your particular driving habits are pretty tough. Only you would know that.
But there are other, more legitimate items that are worth mentioning. Tires, 8-12K per set at about $1,000. Premium fuel only at about $2.00 per gal. My first clutch/flywheel assembly cost me $2,300 at a dealer. And god forbid you catch the modification bug, as every NSX mod is about three times more expensive than for any other car on the road. Muffler: $1,200, Header: $1,500, Supercharger: $9,800.
Soon you'll be like everyone else on the list: looking for cheap parts!

haha, that is so true Chopsjazz!
anyone got any cheap tires?
used RSR mufflers?
How about a 6-speed gearbox?

I was shocked when I read $2.00/gal. Then I looked at the year this was posted. hahahha

I love archival footage.

The original owner of my car kept every receipt. EVERYTHING... including his gas receipts...
in 1991 Premium fuel was $1.21/gallon in Chicago IL.
