Dan, the work that you have done on your car is awesome! Do you have any numbers on how well your oil cooling system works?

Also, were you able to fix the body damage since I saw you last?

I may be able to answer two of the three, if you don't mind. No, maybe, and no.;)

I'm wondering what kind of shocks those are? Haven't heard of a remote resevoir system ending in those letters.

The sways are not hard to install at all... the hardest part is getting the frozen nut off the bolt that connects the end of the sways to the "L" bar. You will need a 17 mm box wrech and a number "6" allen wrench... I just completed one of my bilsteins installation 10 minutes ago (still fresh on my mind). Once that nut is off... load the side of your suspension that you are working on to the point where you can slip that "L" bar off.

Repeat the other side... and your done.

Presumably they are Showa shocks from the Type-R. From an earlier post:

All NSX-R Engines are blueprinted from the factory. One thing no one has mentioned yet is the Type-R's suspension($$$). The shocks are Showa High Response Shocks with external canisters on the rear shocks.

Let me see if I can answer these. Brakes from a 993 TT. Your right Dali street/race, you move on to the lightning round... The shocks are the type-r. I think there 3 sets in the states. I just fell into these by dumb luck. Highly rated by Andrie the giant killer and SOS Chris (only two I have let drive my car on track). Stiff street ride though but help desinged by the best, A Siena (sp) when he drove for Honda. The cooler turned out pretty nice but have yet to check the Delta temp so unitl it works rite it's junk. Another change was to cut out the fender liner under the fan to have a flow thru area of 1/3 the core and the rest for the fan. The core dim is 4.75x11x2.75. Steve, I would love to help out BUT, I have a habbit of producing one offs and would need to rip my car appart to get the dimensions to replicate them. your right about the work part, I made about 90 trips between my car and work table to make the fan only. You start with a $375 Fluidyne then cut and throw away $100 worth. As for sway bars, figure out what you want to do with your car then find some brainy nsx track/auto cross/ rally or what ever person that has made all the mistakes and copy his setup. Dan

Looks great! Are you worried about water and debris getting into the fan and cooler from the tires?

tunapie: I admire your work. How did you manage to fit the 993 TT brakes at the rear (I see no 2nd caliper for the handbrake)? I have the 993 TT front brakes on the front and 996 GT 3 rear brakes at the rear with a 2nd little Brembo brake as handbrake.

I must say I use OEM wheels (16 and 17") with 22 mm spacers to clear the brakes - do you have bigger ones?

I just used one Brembo parking caliper, it's on the other side. Mounting bolts for the caliper go both directions so you need to split the caliper to remove it. Debris is a concern and all I can do is vacume it out once a year. NO mod is perfect. Dan

Dan
Did you use the fan from that cools the engine?
You could install a screen to help keep out the rocks.
Looks great to me! Let us know how it turns out.

I agree that looks like a great system. You could also look into a Heating and air plastic louvered grill to block the water and rocks similar to the grills in the front of the car. Or just cut the louvers out from a NSX front liner. Great job
