"Here we go again. I haven't owned a new Corvette since 1992 and it was a piece of junk. 13 warranty issues in 6 months. I have been driving Toyota and Lexus ever since.

Well, I just could not pass up the bang for the buck on the 400hp C6. Got mine TWO WEEKS ago. Already, they have to replace the primary belt. It squeaks so loud that I'm too embarrassed to drive it. Also, the brakes are noisy as hell and the outside temperature indicator only works when it wants to. Give me a break! This car is 14 days old. Is this what I'm to expect again??? For crying out loud, it was $55K. For that kind of cash, it should be bullet proof.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with their C6's??? Do I have a lemon, or can Chevy simply not build cars?? Please help! "

I had a 99 and while I had more issues than I did with the NSX, it wasn't excessive like the article mentioned. I really liked it, but hated seeing one on every corner. It sounds like lemon potential and if I were this guy, I would consult the dealer. Sorry to hear that the new generation isn't as great as they say.

Look at the bright side, you have 400 horses and couple bugs under the hood. Not even the NSX can escape the infestation for the first model year. It's a matter of how big and how many there are in your vette. There is a thread on brake noise in the C6 Forum.

Bullet proof would be closer to 200k.

Actually, Bullet proof is probably in the $60 - $90 (and only a Japanese make:) )... Above that the curve on "Bullet proof" starts falling again.

Yes but lets look at these in perspective.... "tranny snap ring problems, busted window regulators, air conditioners dying and who knows what."These were problems in the first run of '91 and '92 models, and were fixed for the '93 model year onwards!

The other things like ABS pumps and Bose stereos are in cars which are approaching 15 yeras old now!

This guys car is 2-weeks old!!!
