Momo wheel install q's--again

I'm about to install a Momo wheel on my '92 and I've read several posts about the process but I still have a q or two.

Can the SRS light be shorted out by either jumping pins at the 3-pin connector coming from the cable reel and/or by jumping pins at the main 6-pin connector at the base of the steering column? Does it matter which connector is used for this purpose?

I'm also a little confused re: which connector to use for the horn. Although there is a horn connector coming from the cable reel, most directions suggest wiring the horn to a pin in the cruise control connector. Why not use the horn connector?

Here is a little drawing that I made when I did mine. Change the (+) symbols to (-) and visversa. The horn button provides a ground (-) when it is pushed, not (+). I was in a hurry when I labled the drawing....sorry. I hope this helps.

Thanks, Brad--once again.

Q's---I see that you ran the horn button wire directly to pin #4 on the 4-pin connector. Now, do I need to also jump pins # 3 and 4 in order for the horn to work, if I'm not wiring up my cruise control?

Also, what amp fuse did you use on the 3 pin connector?

Thanks , again.

You are more than welcome.

.

No cruise, No Jumper needed. The jumper is only to supply a ground for the cruise buttons. (The cruise sure is nice to still have for those long trips in the NSX driving behind that nice new fun steering wheel.)

It is just a very small fuse that was supplied with the quick release. To be honest I didn't even use one. I think that all will happen if you don't use a fuse, and are in a situation that the airbag would be activated, is that the SRS fuse would blow. By not having a fuse here at the three pin connector you are suppling a "short to ground" which will blow a fuse in an activation. No big deal in my opinion.
