Hello guys,

I have bought a Trek Momo Steering Wheel and is looking for the correct hub to go with it. Did some research and it seems that number 4916 is the correct hub for the car? Is that the only thing you need (hub and steering wheel) for a correct installation.

Also, is the installation of steering wheels relatively easy to handle? Or would a professional definitely be needed? Please share if anyone has experience! Thanks in advance!!

Thanks, will do some research in this section. Do you have the title of the tread? I did a search for momo steering and there was no guide that came up.

Seems the momo hub is out of stock in most places though. Will the Sparco 01502083 work? It's made for the Prelude I think.

please post a picture of the wheel installed when finished... i ahve been thinking about getting the same wheel....thanks...dave

yes the sparco one will be fine hi have use this one for 2 years !! and now hi have changed for the NRG short hub and quick release !! better set up ! you could find them on ebay !!

Yeah I have been looking at the NRG as well. However, they are more than twice the amount of the Sparco so what is their benefit aside from better security? Is the position better?

security for sure.
all of the nsx's that have been reported stolen do not have a quick release steering wheel set up.

the ones that did have them have installed prevented thefts.
thieves cant steal and drive your car if there is no steering wheel attached to the car.
most of the time they just walk away when they see no steering wheel.

i had an attempted theft on one of my cars a while back. im so glad i had removed my steering wheel that night.

Thanks for the detailed reply! So what's the list of parts and their part numbers would I need for a NRG setup? Also, would the be easy to install? As there are no shops in china where they can handle this I think (the car is going to china btw lol), I would have to do a home installation. >.<

NRG pretty is a cheap knock off of a Works Bell. Read this thread for more info. Until I see some documented safety testing by NRG, I'm sticking with the authentic Works Bell Quick Release.

PERFECT! Thanks so much for the info! Did some research and will pick up a kit when I go to Japan tomorrow. Didn't know all these guys were copying them lol!

did I say "NRG pretty?" lol... meant to say NRG "pretty much" heh. Glad you're going for the authentic Works Bell hub and QR. I don't want to freak everyone out who has an NRG QR, it will probably be fine in most scenarios, but I definitely would not trust it if you drive your NSX hard or on the track. I just wanted to educate ppl on the facts. I doubt many ppl even realize that NRG is replica.
