Hi all.
I've spent the last 1.5 hours looking for information about this issue and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for.
I just got a new for me 92 NSX. The PO had told me that sometimes he would get this loud, annoying, fast clicking noise, which his mechanic diagnosed as the mode control motor (MCM)failing.
Has anyone else ever had to replace the MCM before? What were your cars symptoms?
Here are mine...
The hugely annoying clicking sound, it's a rather fast clicking. I've read that others have said it was a stuck vent door or something similar - goes away on its own generally. Sometimes it'll start again if I hit a bump in the road. I can make it stop if I click the defrost button.
Also... and I've got my fingers crossed that there are related problems... Sometimes the fan only works on high speed. Other times it works fine. I wonder if this is the capacitor problem or perhaps its low on freon???
Look forward to your replies.
