The LS is a very nice sedan. The mods are a little too pimp/blingy/adolescent for my tastes. To each his own. I wonder how much of that nice luxury ride quality you lose with those lowering springs and super-low-profile tires?

inside-out...

I spent an afternoon w/ the new LS460/L, and the quality/fit-finish is second to none! However the styling (L-finesse?) is a big let-down. Other than proportions, the new LS appears to be hardly different in appearance when side-by-side to it's lesser mate, the ES350. Huge disappointment on an otherwise awesome sedan.

At least to me, it seems as if Lexus has welcomed the Audi/BMW philosophy of similar design/shape, different proportion for a 3 model lineup:

Audi A4 / A6 / A8
BMW 3-series / 5-series / 7-series
Lexus IS / ES / LS
*GS actually appears to be a distinct model!!

All three models in each lineup look nearly identical to eachother except for their size/proportions and minor styling details and so forth.

FWIW, I thought the same thing. I was absolutely leveled by the finish and details within the interior. Exterior styling was so so but the above pics certainly bring the car out of the grandparent category.

VIP-ishtyle...

I totally agree! The VIP'ed versions of the LS460/L are very alluring and aggressive.

It's a shame that aftermarket support for "VIP" accessories really lags Stateside. Otherwise I'd most definitely be more keen towards certain Lexus and Infiniti models.

On topic...

The reclining passenger-side rear passenger seat offered on the LS460 is awesome! And there's a 45-degree ottoman for the legs. Only disappointing thing: there's no such option for the driver's side rear passenger seat... :(

We can get the parts:smile: it is just many LS owners are not into the VIP look. What I have noticed is as the price goes down, younger guys buy a LS and VIP it (looking at the previous LS 400/430).

Glad you all enjoyed the pics.
