Mita Route-ks spoiler review

Paid 1480usd wet carbon spoiler plus 700usd postage (Australia).

Arrived only half carbon and as you can see from the photos is of very poor quality requiring painting, loosing the whole point of paying extra for carbon.
Apparently this is the accepted quality, mita holds zero responsibility for quality control and only accepts returns with 80% restocking fee and me paying return postage and import fees. This would garentee zero returns. I was informed to sell the spoiler to someone else, which I would not do. To break even selling the spoiler, i would have to list it for $3500aud (spoiler, shipping, import fees).

I requested a return payment of 480usd which was the cost from fibreglass to carbon however i have not received a reply.

As you can see the listing is inaccurate as it should state, spoiler will require painting and carbon is only on the side and top of the blade for wet carbon. If i was aware of the build quality, half carbon and requiring painting, I would not have purchased.

Review submitted to warn other potential buyers.

"Route-KS NSX-R Type Rear Spoiler.

Many NSX owners like and wish to emulate the look of the legendary NSX-R

This Route KS replica wing is a direct copy of the OEM NA2 NSX-R rear spoiler.

The rear wing comes in different finishes, each includes the third brake light."

Wow, that's terrible product quality and even worse customer service. Honestly, given that return policy I wouldn't have taken a chance on such an expensive item to begin with. But thanks for sharing your experience to hopefully help others stay far, far away!

Did they change their description based on your issues? The description now reads:

"Wet Carbon option features the top and side pieces in carbon overlay in areas that is visible when installed. The bottom of the wing will be in standard fibreglass with gelcoat. It is recommended to apply primer first then paint the fibreglass exposed areas."

Either way, the return policy on such an expensive piece is rough.

How dose it fit can you just paint it and put it on? I would paint most of it and leave some of the CF exposed. Route KS stuff usually comes ruff but that’s a crappy situation. Mita probably just drop shipped that. Still they should be the one arguing with Route KS about shipping the wrong product.

Hi, yes they changed the website description to suit the issues I've raised. Mita have been good to deal with and returned 480usd the difference between fiberglass and carbon spoiler.

Correct, mita is just the middle man selling route-ks items. With the high quality parts mita sell, I would have imagined it to be of a higher quality.

Just an update, after a online review, marc reached out to resolve the issues with poor quality from the first spoiler. Marc purchased another route-ks spoiler sending it to his carbon guy to have it wrapped in carbon. I have attached photos and quality is less than impressive. Carbon work is very average, with the carbon not being straight, various defects, sanding through carbon in a number of spots, spoiler with wripples throughout. With postage this spoiler cost me over $3500 (aud) and will let the photos do the talking if you would purchase one.

Ive purchased 02 wheels and other nsx items from marc and quality has been oem quality if not better. Would I purchase from marc again, yes however I would stay away from the carbon products and buy from ATR.
