Hi Guys,
pretty NOOB question, but what is the minimum rotor thickness for OEM front and rear 91 rotors before replacement, and my follow up is, what is the minimum rotor thickness you would be comfortable with taking it out for one more full track day. This all assumes good bads, brake fluid, and no large cracks to the edges of the rotor.

thanks,
Shaun

By 2mm your brakes will start to squeal if you the wear bracket. For track, it depends on the brake pads; if this is your first time, at least 4mm. If you have done track before and you are not novice I would go 5mm.

thanks but I was referring to the rotor thickness,actually..I've never been clear on when to replace them if there aren't cracks you can feel with your fingernail or extending to the outside edge...is there a general thickness people measure that indicate when to replace the rotors prior to a track day?

The owners manual has the service limits.
I wouldn't exceed the service limit.

My bad re pads vs rotors. The min spec needed to resurface are 26mm for the front and 21mm for the rear. So even at 26 and 21 to track you are ok.
