MFest IV, April 16-18, 2010 is going to be in Vegas this weekend.
Anyone going?

MFest IV

Went last year, might go this year. Noticed some NSXs following us around to the different events...

Might of been me in my silver NSX!

Is MFest having any track things?

Lance

Hey Lance, whatz up!
There is a track day, I think its on Saturday. Take a look on the link.

We will try to join up with Mfest this Saturday so all of us can get a real good feel of what NSXPO will be like.

Do they know that we will be following? I just hate to ruin a party when we are not invited.....

Ruin? I don't think so....you will be adding the icing on the cake....

Yes, ruin. Kind of out of place when you join an event for M Cars when you don't have an M series BMW let alone a car manufactured from another company. :) Trust me, we're just wondering what they heck the driver is thinking...

There is a tightly connected orange GT3 RS that drives in the front but you should know someone or make sure it's ok before jumping in. There are fees for even the GFs that tag along in the passenger seat...

Been to every MFest, even the first one when there was only 20 or so M5s. Tried calling Chris Naguid, the organizer, but his phone number has changed. We will have our own event so there is no need to crash anybody's party. Just thought everyone should get an idea of the enormity of 300+ cars event for our own benefit.

Regards,

Danny

If I rolled up in my Dinan 335 would they shit themselves since I don't have an M badge on the car? That would be lame if so. However, I would not put it past them. BMW owners are a strange, eclectic group. I have come across many of EGO driven Jerkoffs in Bimmers but also some nice guys. I hate to say it but the jerk to cool guy ratio isn't that great. Then again that could be with any car......that happens to be German.

BTW, my car is going to be in the shop for at least a few weeks so you won't see the Green Monster for awhile. Work is getting done. I may beef up the engine while I am at it too.

Most of the Mfest ppl are some pompous jerks. A certain type of Affliction shirt wearing, shaved head type crowd. But really now, you have an event called MFest, you charge a hefty fee for going and anyone else who comes along you should at least have just M Cars there. It might not be a Ferrari, but how would you feel at an event for a particular type of car and then a bunch of cars from some other manufacturer just show up. There are events for many types of cars and there are events for specific cars.

Any marque specific event will have local enthusiasts dropping by. I would hope that the "outsider" is respectful and unobtrusive. Likewise, the participants should be equally welcoming/accepting of a fellow enthusiast.

Danny

Morning Danny! Have fun today!
