For those of you thinking about doing the 2002 facelift to your car, it will likely not be easy as you imagined. Take a look at this shot:

Notice in the top middle of the light well, there is a cutout to allow clearance for the headlight adjuster mechanism. This cutout is not present in the earlier cars.

Also, I don’t think anyone else has noticed this yet, but there is a strip under the rear spoiler:

I’d have to say it’s really there for downforce, as it’s really not noticeable as part of the facelift.

I’d have to say it’s really there for downforce, as it’s really not noticeable as part of the facelift.

Does anyone know if this is a separate part that can be ordered from Acura and how much it costs? (Are you listening Mark J?)And how about the new rear around the bumper treatment?

that area under the wing is hard emough to keep clean, that new piece will only make things harder, my guess is wing insert would have little to no effect except at 100+ speeds. Then again thats when you need it.

Im not sure, but I would imagine now that some of the first dealers are starting to get them in, the 2002 parts diagrams should be on-line (Acuralink) for the dealers.
