Subject: Triangle Italians - March 1st Gathering

Greetings everyone. The gathering on March 1st will be held at Camille's in Brier Creek on Saturday, March 1st at 9:00 AM. For those of you who couldn't make it last month, you will be in for a treat if this month is anything like this past month's meet. We saw a little of everything this past month including quite a few AC Cobra replicas, a GT40 replica, a Ford GT, Dodge Viper, a group of Elise's, some late 60's Camaro's, a pair of Stingray Vette's, in addition to the standard assortment of Italian machinery and our Porsche friends. We invite everyone to come out and enjoy what will hopefully be a pleasant Saturday morning. We're excited about the fact that more enthusiast groups are picking up on our first Saturday event and we hope to see it continue to grow.

I've updated our Picture album with images that I've collected from the various recent outings, so take a look. Unfortunately, I can't find my camera cord so most of these images have been grabbed from other attendees. Enjoy: http://picasaweb.google.com/TriangleItalians

Ray Munsch, who leads the Porsche Club gatherings, has asked me to extend an invitation to all of you to come out to their weekly gatherings. They gather at Camille's every Saturday morning at roughly 7:30 AM (they're much more motivated than we are). If you have any specific questions in regard to the PCA event, you can contact Ray at [email protected]

We're still working on the shop tour and tech session at Apex Vintage. We also have some other shop tours in the works as well. We're also looking to host a dinner at some point on a weeknight. There are plenty of things to look forward to and we're always looking for ideas. Please don't hesitate to shoot us an email.

Regards,
Eric

Kind of intrigued :)

Is this a park and talk meet solely? Or do you guys get out and cruise through the backroads?

Hey John,
Just realized that YOU posted this announcement! (I e-mailed this to you earlier this evening after pulling it off your post)

Looks like an interesting event. Good accessible location. Weather looks like it will be cooperating - although it may be a bit chilly early morning but going up to a high of 60.

I'll probably be heading up there.

John

I will try to be there early, but i need to leave for work at 9:30.
I may have my 13 pound carbon fiber road bike on the back..... Jeff

I'm unsure of the program; it seems to me to be a park and meet type of gathering.

I'd certainly be up for a drive, however...

Agreed, I don't mind hanging out and chatting, but prefer to get a nice long string of cars rumbling down the road :)

I am a member of the Porsche club and this event started out as a few Porsche guys getting together. In the past few months, the Italian club started joing in and that is when it moved from Carribou Coffee to Camille's due to the number of cars. It is a lot of fun and there is no telling who or what will show up. I went out there last month with my friend in his Lamborghini Gallardo and a Ferrari 612 Scagleitti showed. I encourage anyone to try it at least once. Unfortunately, I am out of town this week so I can't go. :frown: Maybe next time. It would be great to see some fellow NSX owners out there.

I am in class all weekend- taking a motorcycle safety course. Will try to catch up next time. -HS

PS- you might want to re-name this thread "Triangle NC Meet"

so anyone driving up?

I will try to get to greensboro around 9ish, prefer to meet around the elm eugene area, easy access off and on. And a friend of mine has a non-nsx car he wants to cruise up with, he is in burlington, so he will be meeting us roadside somewhere.

Let me know if anyone is gonna meet up, so I can plan accordingly.

Jeremy

I went , got in as it was ending. Got a pic of erics yellow nsx, couldn't get a picture of john's as he parked nose first, and a lot of people walking around. A lot of porsches, a few ferrari's, ford gt, a couple shelby clones, and a pantera that didn't make it in time, but we still got to cruise down the highway together at a good clip.

Will post some pics in a few.

Jeremy and John,

Good seeing you guys on Saturday. Thanks for the pictures. I realized I had forgetten my camera just as I pulled into the parking lot. It was great to see John Yellow NSX for the first time. Looks terrific. Likewise Jeremy. Amazing condition. Good to see you and your son Jeremy. Also nice to meet Michael (MC36 - without your car) Glad you were in the area. Good to see Jeff out as well.

I will definitely try and make this event first Saturday of every month. There were indeed some amazing cars attending. Let's try and get more NSX's out next month and all park together.

Oh great. I leave and now all of you guy arrange all of these meets. Good to see photos of the old stomping grounds.

Best to you guys.

Doug

Jeremy (and son Tanner) and I met up for the drive west. Let's just say there is no more "carbon on my plugs" (old carbureted car)...and my 35 year old speedometer cable was not up to the task!

Jeremy's silver NSX looks fabulous at speed.

This thing goes down a LOT earlier than I thought.

I do believe this meet is the first Saturday of each month. That means this weekend also.... Jeff

Jeff,

If it's dry, I am going to head on up there. Great attendance last month. Many interesting cars, and a good group of enthusiastic owners.

John

Let me know if anyone goes in early May
