Mazda has a Performance Challenge Driving Event where you can stomp the gas and push the vehicles (Miata, the Mazda3, Mazda6, Mazda5, RX-8) to its limits in a coned track.

I was pretty fired up about this until I found out that the LA event is all the way up in Pomona which is absolute BFE to me. Looks like fun.
