Picked one up (May 2002, Vol 5) yesterday at the Mitsuwa bookstore (was "Yaohan") in Chicago (actually its in Arlington Heights).
Highlights include:
- new NSX-R versus old NSX-R
- RSX Type-R
- multi-car time trials at Tsukuba, including an S2K
NSX-R prototype was kinda interesting:
- no rear diffuser from showcar
- rear wing is CF, and is adjustable
- red/black brake calipers
- drilled pedals
- 17/17 tires BS Potenza RE040 F 215-40 / R 255-40
- OLD Type R seemed louder than the new one
I didn't quite understand the Japanese, but it sounded like:
a) both made them happy
b) one seemed to "rotate" better (presumably the new one)
c) one made them happier -- new one they called a Type RR (extra -- ala Honda sportbike)
I'd be interested in hearing a translation into "Engrish"
Video brochures suggest that some of this material is available on DVD, including an NSX-only edition (has a pic of an older NSX).
