Anyone know of a place to get matching gray headliner material for a 92?

Thanks for you help

Have you considered getting the NA2 Type R head liner/visors/pillars. They are pricey but man it looks good it is a black mesh material similar to the last gen TL type 'S'.

How hard was it to take out the headliner?
Mine is starting to fall and I am planning to do it this winter.

I was going to check with a local upholstery shop to see if they could re-attach the original material.

It's not hard to remove...

You have to remove these items in order. Back rectangle panels behind seat, side rear bulk panels, side bolsters, center speaker cover, long rear bulkhead, seatbelt panels, and front pillars from dash to headliner. Also sunvisors, middle sunvisor, and dome light which is actually hard to figure out and I forget but I'm sure shawn will chime in.

Headliner is attached via a few clips but 4x screws in each corner.

I doubt they can reattach as its age when you start to pull on it they break and rip.

taking it out isnt that bad but....... there are hidden screws everywhere and each screw it almost vital to keep it from sagginf so take your time but dont be afraid to pull hard in some spots
since its never been removed its gonna be kida hard and the cardboard backing is brittle and fragile so be careful

It wasn't that difficult if you follow the service manual . There is a diagram with the order things should be done in. You have to do it in this order. The main difficulty after than is how hard to pull on the clipped parts. You can pretty much pull until it comes off. Hard to get the clip off that holds the back glass hatch on but if you look with a flashlight not hard at all. Also the knob that opens the gas door must come off. Just pull until it pops off. It too a while the first time. Now I think I could do it in an hour.
took the seats out, easy, but not sure it is necessary. Easier to get to everything.

I have heard you don't want to re attach because the foam on the inside is disintegrating and won't hold
