MargaHills Front Bumper

Well, I found a Margahills front bumper for my 91 NSX. I got a great deal from a company names aeorkits.net. It got a couple of cracks in the shipping but overall I am happy with the bumper... well... kind of. Let me explain. I take it to my local custom shop (I have seen some Acura RSX's and some S2000 with custom kits on them in their parking lot....) They say... "If the fit is good, this should take no time at all. Drop it off and they will fit it in one day, paint it and I should have it back in a couple of days. So they take my old bumper off and you guessed it... I get a call ... "uh are you sure this is the right bumper?" I end up going to the shop, we get on the SOS website. I show him how the bumper is fitted on a 91 NSX on the site. As a matter of fact is SHOULD fit ALL NSX's (with minimal modifications - I am told). To make a long story short, they are on their second day of trying to get it to "fit" right.
1. Does anyone else have a Marga Hills front bumper on a 91 NSX?
2. Were you able to use the standard foam piece from the original front bumper?
3. Did you have to remove the actual steel bumper or modify it so the new Marga Hills bumper would fit?
4. What about modifications to the headlight portion of the bumper?

Any help would be appreciated.
I have asked the shop to take pictures so as we go through the process I can post them on the forum so others can take a look.

I have been a long time fan of the marga hills bumper but I read somewhere in my long hours spent here on nsxprime that on a difficulty level of 0-10 10 being the hardest. the marga hills bumper is somewhere in the 11 range.

On your last few questions numbers 2 & 3 you are correct on.

The only person that is active on here that I can think of that could have offered you any help is a victim of Hurricain Katrina and has not been able to spend alot of time on here. So it might be a while before he replies but his user name is Sndsoul. I would try to do a search on here for more info in the mean time. Good luck with the bumper and I am sure all would be interested in how it comes along.

I don't know about the MH specifically but it is not atypical to not be able to use the absorber with after-market bumpers.
