Is it me or does Mapquest just suck lately. I remember there online maps used to be clear and would zoom down to street level showing exits and streets in good detail. The last few times I used it the maps were blurry and you could not read the main map hardly at all and when clicking to recenter you would get something other then where you pin pointed.

mapquest is doing a complete revision to their service and within 60 days will be the best service around. many of the sites i develop use services from mapquest such as www.menuserve.com who uses them for directions to all the restaurants listed.

mapquest keeps us informed of the upcoming changes months ahead of time.

Thanks for the update this is good to know. You would think they would post a notice on there site so people know that this is only a temporary situation.

I've been using the beta of Google maps for awhile now and love the speed. I checked out Yahoo's beta just the other day and was impressed that they have a traffic overlay (at least for L.A.). The only thing I didn't like about Yahoo's driving directions was an ad for how much money I'd save if I drove the route in a Toyota Prius (I would have saved $5.24 driving to the CalCoastal NSX BBQ).

Incidentally, in one instance, all of these mapping services listed a specific street as going through when it actually dead-ends at the border between two cities. Only Microsoft's mapping service got that street right. That said, none of these services properly located my dad's house...all would have sent me more than a block away!
