Main Relay

My mechanic is having trouble locating the main relay in 1999 Right hand drive Targa. He has used Prime posts but says the relay is not as described behind seats/bulkhead. Were there different main relays fitted in different years. Help appreciated

I think the later model has the main relay over by the ECU and lower down the bulkhead than the earlier cars. Down behind the passenger seat instead of behind the drivers shoulder.

I would guess the RHD setup is a reversed position of the LHD.

RHD cars have the main relay behind the drivers seat. Remove the rear panels, including the corner piece, and you'll see it there.....I have a 96 RHD Targa manual and that's where it is on mine....

Here is a picture from a LHD car - the main relay is circled in red. This should help him in spotting it, because now he will know what it looks like.
