Ok.. I did a search on this and I don't think I was able to come up w/ an answer.

Who here uses this????

I'm considering adding a laser block of some sort on top of my Valentine 1 and am researching my options. Since Daliracing sold this product, it was the only option that I've seen so far. (well in my search I found the lidtek(?) also)...

Opinions and options are welcomed.

Thanks,

I addressed this previously; don't waste your money on this p.o.s. unless you want a ticket to go with your false sense of confidence. Their technology (along with most manufacturers of these products) has been bypassed; check the thread. There is a link showing what supposedly works now. I believe the Escort and one other unit are the curreny leaders with each matching up well against most laser units and having a better result against one unit each where they approach the minimum distance as specified by the reviewer. I assume you mean 'in addition to' when you say 'on top of the V1' as these mount in the front of the car. Hope this helps.

Thanks Brian!
One thing that is crucial to remember is that it doesn't matter how the unit does against ALL THE OTHER UNITS; only the one fixed on your car. Before you buy one I would see which units are in use in your municipality and select according to the results of the review.
Brian you have mail.

I still stand by my Lidatek LE-20 Active laser jammers.

if you are in need of a set, I can get you a brand new set at a substantial discount.

Please do your research and pm me if interested.

good luck,
Allen

I appreciate the responses...

In virginia its all illegal anyway...

the V1 yeah.. in addition to is the proper phrase.

The Bel seems to be the best value from what I see...

Thanks again,

My personal preference is to use both V1 and M-10 Laser Blinder.

I have both installed to my NSX and Lexus IS300. The V1 confirmed of Laser Detection yet the M-10 is doing the jamming until I turn off the jamming unit!

They have safe me from getting those speeding tickets.

Go for both and you are safe to speed!!!

WRONG!

That is what I thought until I got a laser ticket using the same setup as you.

You need to go back and reread the thread and check out the link Brian posted. It will allow you to have an understanding of the realities surrounding the laser "jammers" which you place blind faith in. You will be glad you did. As they say; 'the figgers don't lie'

In addition to brickdds's comment about laser tickets, there is no radar detector or laser jammer in the world that can provide absolute protection against instant-on radar. Yes, if the instant-on is used to measure the speed of a car ahead of you, you may receive adequate warning. But if there is no car ahead of you - or any time they wait for YOUR car before turning on the instant-on radar - then it's quite possible that you won't be able to slow down before they get a reading on you and hand you a citation.

That BEL unit looks pretty attractive to me.

I was wondering if the major radar brands would ever come out with laser jammers or not. With BEL and Escort both offering them it looks like they have. So will V1 join them in making such a unit?

Around here, the State Patrol tends to use laser at very close range. So I'm not sure how useful these devices would be. However, the radartest site used a large SUV for their test. I would think a car without much frontal area like the NSX would fare much better.
