Hey guys who makes lowering cushions now other than Dali? I have a cloth one, I don't know who made this. I would love to get a matching one. Anyone have any idea? I'm a bit hesitant to order from Dali.

Thanks, wasn't his leather? I really wanted to find a matching cloth one but I guess I'll take anything.

Not to sound too dumb, but what is a lowering cushion??

As a FYI, Dali has a new owner.. Mark no longer runs it.

Doesn't sound like much has changed by reading the last responses about Dali in the Buyer/Seller Experiences.

It's a thinner seat cushion that gives more headroom. Can't use a helmet without one.

I found a used one guys, thanks.

Scammy no cushion at all? Don't you have a dimpled ass when you get out? With round dimples about 1.5" O.D.? LOL

In case others are interested, I made an insert for my passenger side by molding flexible foam and adding a couple layers of memory foam on it, then covering with fabric. I needed it to allow the sub strap to come up through the cushion. Not the prettiest but it works and allows more headroom. Could have used a single layer of memory foam if I were particularly concerned about headroom. (My driver's side is a fully molded rigid insert.)

yeah didn't take into account OEM holes however most if not all race cars, boats, karts use no seat cushions at all unless there are two different height drivers in one vehicle and they have an insert for the shorter driver most are just on the seat base it leaves less room for movement you could compare it to compliance in the suspension maybe. because you are taller and are trying to fit in the car with a helmet on then instead of a foam base you should just get a plastic base of some sort and heat gun it into shape and just take out your cushion at the track and insert the plastic plate. I run no seat cushion at the track in my DF seats and do not notice there is no cushion and i can feel the car better with less foam between my butt and the car.

I agree: my rigid-foam insert, which is also much thinner than the OEM cushion, I feel much more from the car. I was really surprised how much filtering the OEM cushion provides.

It's pretty straightforward to make a molded insert of two-part polyurethane foam, whether flexible or rigid. The flexible material is tougher and a better choice if you want the thinnest seat possible.
