I am replacing the lower weatherstripping on both doors. It is a single piece that divides into 2 sections and attaches to the door frame under the side panels. My problem is that the top of the front piece attachees under the outside window molding. Does anyone know how to unattach the outside metal window molding to get to the rubber grommet that needs to be installed on the new weatherstrip.
Thanks

This is from memory... You could always go the online shop manual - but I'm sure they make it more involved than needs be. (no flames  ) You will have to pop off the forward triangular plastic cover on the inside of the door to get to the screws that attach the outer black triangular piece to the door (right next to the outside rear view mirror). Remove those (3 or 4) screws on the inside and remove the outer peice. Once that is off you will see a single phillips screw that attaches the outer trim peice to the door. Once that screw is out you can carefully pop the trim piece off of the clips (4-5 clips) that run along the door. It's kinda scary and you feel like you're breaking the clips but you won't if you take it easy. Do it with the window down.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
