Low profile antenna

My 91 had one already installed on it... looks great (IMO)

I'm not sure where the previous owner purchased it, but it looks just like the Shark Attack II, $36, on the link provided above on a previous post by XO-NSX, under antenna's

http://www.locustom.com/antennas.htm

They even have a picture of one on a Red NSX on their page.

The thing that impressed me was that they had an install page specifically for the NSX.
Not that I'm ready to give up my fishin' pole.

Just ordered one myself.

I've had the locustom shark for about 5yrs now without any problems or issues at all. Bolts right up, hook up the power wire to magnify it and it comes in better than oem and looks a million times better as well!!

don't ever look back :) ..... btw, now i think the shark top part/mast is a bit too big, do they sell smaller antennas/masts? ....

I finally ordered one. I am really getting tired of the "remote control car" jokes! Thanks for the reminder....

They definitely look more aesthetic than the OEM - though the OEM mast gives the NSX some dated character.

But the issue with the Shark antenna has been less than OEM quality reception as that is most likely inevitable given that the length of the mast dictates the strength of the signal.

The S2000 might give better reception, but I believe it needs a wider base opening to mount it on the NSX. Plus the S2000 mast is one piece, not screwed on like the Shark.

Its albout compromises. YMMV.

The Shark II I bought didn't work -- faulty internal amp. I need to return it.

So in the interest of time (shipping the car overseas), I went to the Honda dealership and bought the S2000 antenna. Expensive -- $170 for the entire assembly -- but it fits well, looks good, and works perfectly.

The S2000 antenna fit in the stock hole on your NSX? Previous posters have said that the hole needs to be bored out to be larger.

Greetings

I replaced an antenna that was about 2 inches tall with a Shark II. Both are amplified. The 2" antenna would not pick up very many channels or keep the connections as I drove to work. My Shark does not have this problem.

Cheers,
Martin
