The rumors are true, LoveFab will be fielding their 1991 Acura NSX in the 2012 Pikes Peak International Hillclimb. This is the first time an NSX has ever been entered into this prestigious event! The Pikes Peak International Hillclimb is the second oldest auto race in the United States, second only to the Indy 500, originating in 1916. The PPIHC is a speed contest for motorized vehicles that runs one vehicle at a time against the clock. The traditional starting line is Mile Post 7 at an altitude of 9,400 feet. The finish line, 12.42 miles away at the summit, is 14,110 feet altitude for a vertical rise of almost 5,000 feet. There are 156 separate curves, a maximum ascent of 10% and a minimum descent of 3% on the course. The 12.42 mile course surface is well–maintained asphalt. The race is a traditional spectator event.

Power is nothing without reliability. To date, we have over 100 installations, with ZERO factory engine failures. Several of our factory-motor turbocharged cars are approaching 500WHP, and have been running at this level for three+ years now. We have cars running on original installation and tuning performed back in 2006. These cars have required zero maintenance relating to the turbo system itself. At NSXPO 2010, there were nine Turbo NSX’s running for both track days. Seven of them were equipped with LoveFab systems. Aside from an engine mount failure(unrelated to the system), all seven NSX’s were driven home; some were driven halfway across the country.
